I am Dr. Micah J. Dobson, an Assistant Professor of Sport Management, researcher, and leader operating at the intersection of sport sociology, inclusive pedagogy, and global governance. I began my academic journey at Elizabeth City State University, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management Administration, and later completed a Master’s in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Management at North Carolina State University. I earned my Ph.D. in Sport Management from Northcentral University, where my doctoral research investigated after-school sport and recreational programming for at-risk youth.
